Child’s Teacher

Reading a story that through adventures shows how acceptance of the differences in others and celebrating their own differences leads to friendship, can make a subtle change in how a child’s looks at life. Some children’s fantasy books have the lasting effect of seeing beauty in the caterpillar as well as the beauty in the butterfly that it later becomes.

The fewer the illustrations in a book the more the reader uses and strengthens his or her imagination.

As a child’s uses his or her imagination to create the image of characters and places described in the book, his or her creativity is awakened. Imagination and creativity are important skills to have in most areas of life. All the technology we have to date began in someone’s imagination and moved forward through knowledge combined with creativity.

Facts about the world around us and the importance of balance in our ecosystem environments can also come from some fantasy books. Science tells us how long turtles live; we can also read about the wisdom of grandfather turtle. When was the last time you read about fairies gathering dew from the petals of roses to use in healing, and animals in the forest using plants to help them heal?

The media explains that Chamomile tea is relaxing, and herb textbooks go further into its properties. You may however find yourself reaching for Chamomile tea when your stomach is upset because you read the tale of Peter Rabbit. Peter Rabbit’s mother gave him Chamomile tea after his stomach felt terrible from eating too many vegetables in the garden. The fox in the book What Tail? gave his visiting friends Sweet Leaf tea.

You probably will not want to be anywhere that a skunk has sprayed, but you can read the good reason why Mother Nature gave skunks the terrible smelling oil they spray. When a child reads about why a fox is different than his brothers and sisters, he or she might learn things such as the actual color of a red fox cub’s fur.

Fantasy book allow children to learn while escaping into a safe world that might be very different from the world around them at that time. They can discover that what others say is strange or different about them, is perfectly natural for them and can be fun.
Wise old owls appear in various children’s books, which not only gives a child respect for any owl they see, but gives them a reason to listen to teachers, relatives and others who they consider old.

All facts read are stored in a child’s knowledge bank in the way he or she sees or imagines those facts. Talking with your child about the fantasy book he or she just read, or heard, is a wonderful way to learn how your child sees the world around him or her. If you ask, you might even hear what he or she would have done differently than what the character did or said.

Education is the Key to Success

I should have left HS my sophomore year and GED’d (General Education Development test instead of finishing HS) out, went straight to business school classes for two years and left. I’d have been way Ahead, but I was told by so many do-gooders to stay in school and be involved.

Great, and yes as Senior Class Pres, 4-year varsity, most likely to succeed, I excelled at the game, but so what, that’s HS, and it was just a prison for us 3000 kids for 4-years. Education is NOT the key to success at all. Recently I went to speak at a HS, I was blown away, as nothing had changed since the 80s, same ridiculous rows of desks, and time-wasting, brain numbing crap. I am sorry, but I will NOT parrot the party-line. We are making our little humans stupid and the longer they stay, the more they owe in student loans, and the less they can think.

Seriously – dare to challenge your naïve notion and belief system? Chicken. Go ahead; keep telling everyone the importance of our education system, but it is BS, you can learn more watching lectures online and doing things in the real world. Why has it gotten so bad you ask? Well, how about; Teachers Unions, Bureaucracy, In-fighting, top-heavy administration, wasting taxpayer’s money, status quo stodgy crap. “Education the key to success?” Nonsense, especially what people pass off as education these days. Admit it, we are producing brain-dead morons.

We can’t, that’s what education is in the minds of the people, thus the statement; “Education is the Key to Success” is invalid. Now then, if we want to say; “experience, education, observation, and the ability to think and adapt” are the keys to success

Tips to Teach Children

Even if you hire a car or a school bus to pick and drop your child, this step is important. This is because they do not have the maturity between good and bad. Some of the tips that you should be teaching them are as follows:

Color of The Signals

Suppose, while returning from school your child will have to cross the road. So, this time understanding the signals will help them to prevent accidents. Teach them the meaning of each of the signal color and tell them the best time to cross the road. Let them know that they should not walk when the light is red.

To Look, Stop and Cross

Teach the child to cross the street safely. Tell them that they should always look for the signal if it is green or not. If there is no signal, make sure that they look at both the sides of the road to find out if there is any vehicle is on the way. Before they cross the road, they should make sure that the road is empty. They should then cross the road. Never advise them to cross at bends. If your child is less than 6 years of age, you should accompany them.

Using Sidewalks

Sidewalks or footpath usage should be taught to them. If you use walk sidewalks when you talk with them, then they will learn to walk on them. In times when the street is busy using the sidewalk is the best idea.

Say No to Running

Children are naughty. The do not keep focus on the road equally like elders. While they are on the streets they might start running as they do not know what is right or wrong. Teach them that they might meet with an accident if they start running and consequently hurt themselves. Teach them to stay calm and focus on the road.

Technology Has Improved Education Levels

Technology is today used in almost all aspects of our day-to-day activities. People have become accustomed to the use of devices developed through technology. Despite a smaller percentage of individuals claiming the use of technology has done as much destruction as good, education is one of the areas where its use has completely transformed the way people study and educational institutions operate. Here are six ways how the use of technology has managed to help improve education standards.

1. Online Resources

You can always research on the internet for any educational information you need. You are always bound to find some help on the web from the broad range of resources available. The use of online resources such as studying tips, free courses, and secure custom support will help improve your grades.

2. Multimedia learning

People learn in different ways. While some individuals learn better visually, others do so using audio. This has made most education institutions and teachers to change their tact. Instead of focusing on lectures and giving notes, most educators and schools have resorted to using of multimedia to help teach their students better. It comprises use of auditory, visual and kinesthetic. With technology, there is always a way you can effectively learn.

3. Use of E-books

Nothing bores a learner like having to lug around a pile of books for a curriculum. You can carry your entire course materials wherever you go in a tablet. You can always open the eBooks and do light studying wherever or whenever you wish like reading. The e-books are also known to cost less compared to the usual paperbacks making them affordable to most students.

4. Worldwide tutoring

The Internet is not just known for having the unlimited amount of information online; it also contains an infinite number of minds! With technology, you are now able to receive help from anywhere irrespective of your location. This is beneficial especially to people who are interested in learning other languages.

5. Online Editing

There are times when you might need a second opinion but might not have a friend around to have a look at it. Reading through your work and making corrections before submission is one thing you can never afford to ignore. You are most likely set to miss on something when you decide to edit all by yourself. Sharing your work with an online editor is one efficient method you can always use to help improve the quality of your paper.

6. Study Groups

Despite preferring to explore alone, there are times when you might be assigned a group project. However, scheduling a meeting with your group students can be impossible. With technology, there are online platforms making group discussions easier. You can easily share notes and other materials and collaborate through video chats. You can also decide to connect with other students doing a similar course even if you are not in the same group.
